Has anyone visited recently, and is the road still closed at Blubberhouses, if so is the diversion route suitable for towing or is it better to travel through Bradford to get to Skipton

Your best idea might be to phone the site directly. That way you'll get the most accurate information.

Are you absolutely sure it has fully reopened? My understanding was they had at best single file operation for the duration of the Yorkshire Show last week. After that it may need to close again from time to time and eventually a new road will havecto be built sooner than later. Personally i would come off the M1 for Leeds at Crossgates/Thorpe Park, follow the ring road til you hit the Otley/Ilkley road st West Park Roundabout. Carry on through Ilkley, turn off at Addingham and follow signs.

Agree Flatcoat that it does say single file traffic.
