I have a Coachman  Pastiche caravan that I keep at the rear of our house when not touring.

However I’ve noticed that the flat aluminium covered roof is starting to “Ripple” maybe because of the hot weather,

Has any other member had a similar occurrence and if so was there any adverse reaction due to this?

The van is going for its 1st service this week and I’ll point it out to the dealer but would welcome any comments.

Its OK, it is normal. Coachman (and a few other manufacturers) have a loose fit (floating) roof that is a skin over the roof structure. When hot the all look a bit rippled due to expansion. The theory is that the roof expands and contracts more than any other panel and if the Alu is bonded it causes stresses on the roof joints. By allowing the roof to expand and ripple up it reduces the stresses. All coachman are built this way.

That sounds logical and I should have thought of that.

    Thank you.
