I suspect there will be some people out there who haven't realised that even a locked caravan door can be opened from the inside by a clever dog but also by a child quite easily.  I knew there was a device to stop would be Houdinis and have now found it.  Children can easily open the doors and go walkabout.  Anyway Sam's Lock is the thing link here.  Obviously we all want to escape quickly in the event of fire etc but ....... Not when Grandma is in the shower or something!

Many thanks for that Pippah. Been looking for something similar since our 1st Grandchild came with us.

Now we'll have to wait & see how long it will take for them to work out how to take it off.

Glad it helps Dave - it was really scary when my dog ran off in the direction of the A66 - particularly as she might have let a somewhat aggressive GSD out as well but as luck would have it the wind caught the door and closed it before that happened.  I found a discussion on UK campsites (from 2016) and they had a suggestion of something that looked as though it could be hard to get off in an emergency.  Just hope your grandson gets that its a NO NO to touch the door handle!  I have an alarm that wedges in the door so everyone would know if it opened!  I haven't used it though as not appropriate to my current needs.
