I don't even know who's playing, at least the roads will be quiet.

Trying to avoid it is pointless, at least it was for The Likely Lads! So I'll stay in and watch it anyway. smile

It's easy to avoid the football. Just don't turn on the TV or radio. Go for a hike or stroll in the countryside till the game is over. The score will be on the news later anyway, as will all the verbal garbage from those grossly  overpaid TV pundits.

    smile

It is because even if you don't watch it the results will filter through the cracks in your armour...laughing

It’s not the results I mind hearing but the tedious playing of the game and the endless hype and yapping which gets right up my nose.yell

Oh no, I don't watch all the waffle before and after the game or the half time showdowns about which ex failed international has the biggest ego.

But I'll  watch the game itself with fingers crossed - 50+ years of watching Rovers has prepared me for any disappointment! wink

Football coverage seems designed by civil servants - in triplicate. You get a long diatribe on how the game will go, the game itself ( usually with extra time just to annoy everyone) followed by an interminable post-mortem.

It will hopefully, be nice to tug my shed on wheels down a relatively empty motorway,

Arrive on site having missed the most boring parts of both those activities.

I will however look at the news at some stage if only to check the forthcoming weather.

OH inside caravan watching, I was outside reading.
Then later we both watched a bit of tennis and Tour de France.
Back home tomorrow so any sport will have to fit round work.
