is anyone booking for July and August 2019?

I've just got York Rowntree park for a weekend in July and its shows lots of availability?, Also the popular sites of Seacroft/Hillhead?

Not booked anything, however had a look at Baltic Wharf and that is still bookable to the end of August 2019. Yes I know that  Bristol Council Council are able to pull the plug with 3 months notice. However, I assume the fact it is bookable, means the club still has not been given an end date.

Yeah, but apart from writing wills, what have the Romans ever done for us?

It appears that all the honeypot sites still have plenty of pitches left for summer 2019. Is this the system working or people can't book that far ahead and have to wait till their holidays are approved September plus time? If so, then the system might appear to favour those who can book now or those with fixed holidays like school staff?

I wonder when the booking grumbles will start?

Hmm, I think you'll find dates have gone around certain events, Bristol Harbourside Festival for instance. A pity the sticky didn't get updated on here, was it mentioned on FB? It does help if people know.

Yes I see the booking date was announced clearly on FB but not on here. You would have to look in What's On.

A grumble yes. Not for myself but because not everyone is on FB including me so the club should be more inclusive with info.

I assume as they have not been mentioned they were not sent to all. However, this time I received an email on 20/6, detailing the July / August booking date.

They really need to get it standardised. Although perhaps they have, as so far I think it has been the first Wednesday of the month.🤔

I would find it very helpful if I received the email about booking dates but I have never received one. The club has checked that I have selected the correct options for emails etc, but still nothing. Perhaps the people who don't receive a full service from the club should have a discount on their membership fees!

Me too, but I doubt that I'll be booking many CC sites anyway.

Yes, nowadays, CC sites for us are in early and late season if we get a good spell of weather and can get up to one of the Cotswold sites easily. Or if Mrs M's hectic social schedule gets too much I might pop up to Cirencester with one of the dogs for a few days.  Either way it wouldn't be booked until a few days in advance. smile
