    I wonder if Flying fox made it to Coniston ? If so how did it go??

    Many apologies for not coming back on the topic but we are still on holiday and have just sorted some WiFi. After a lot of thought we cancelled our booking at coniston and found a private site near Kendal. We did drive around the lake and on approaching the site I must be honest I was glad that we weren’t towing the van when we met a lorry coming the other way, in somewhat of a rush I might add. We are now enjoying the Peak District. Thanks to everyone who posted on this thread, I gave all your thoughts some serious consideration.

    Hi Flyingfox thanks for the update. Pleased to see that you had the opportunity to check out the area without the dangers associated with towing. Better to be safe than sorry IMHO.
