Hi,

We are collecting our first campervan on Friday! So excited. It is a T4 1995 Volkswagen autosleeper trooper.  We would like some advice please on the best awning/tent to fit this camper. We will travel mostly us two, but sometimes will be accompanied by grandchildren so we will then sleep in the awning ourselves.  Please can we have som suggestions for awnings that  are good and fit on the van?

thank you

    Big, big, question.

Do you spend 200 or 2000?

    Fixed or drive-away?

    Summer or all season?

Air, Frame , or, roll out.

    The choice is vast.

For me on a T4 would be a fixed roll out type but it really depends on what you need it for.

The question is brexit good or bad would probably got a more unified answer than which awning to buy!

Go to one of the main awning retailers and touch the offerings or wait for the national shows and see them all in one place to compare. If you see one on site that you like then ask the owners opinion.

Every year we go to a couple of vw events and most vehicles there are T4 or T5s

I'd guess that 75% of the awnings used are khyam drive away dub hubs. Some are available with sleeper annexes.

So based on the popularity I'd take a look at khyam's offerings.
