Sorry to say, very bad experience
try to phone them at 8.45, no answer, went to site to find we where given no choice in what pitch we could have and asked if we would like to go else where and they would phone.
as we have a dog, the pitch had no shade and protection from the sun, we asked several times if there was any thing else, again offered a refund?.( animal welfare)
husband parked to be told to turn the van a round into the sun and next to a bar b q to next doors caravan, because of fire regs?
it was my birthday, motorvan and caravan club needs to think about animal welfare and needs of there members.
when I replied I have a dog they did not care, we are very upset

Not quite sure why you posted this in the Story Section so I have moved it here. As others have suggested I think a few more details are required. From what you have said there was little choice of pitch? I am sure that wardens will do whatever they can to help but pet welfare is really down to the owner. It's a shame your birthday was spoilt. I think you either need to write directly to the sites team by e-mail or leave a site report as these are monitored by the Regional Managers.

If it was a caravan Club site then they were lucky to get such attention from the wardens at 8:45pm. Not surprised the 'phone was not answered, or that there was only one pitch left.
Interesting concept that one should get some sort of (unspecified) special treatment on one's birthday. I'm usually happy with a card and a small cake!

I am not certain this is a Club Site. More likely a CL? Sorry but cannot fully understand what is being said.

Possibly, but some folks think CLs operate like a Club Site! The OP has only done reviews of CLs previously, so that's what had me wondering. In truth, I remain puzzled by the whole story/complaint.
Did they ring 8.45 am or pm?
Is the shade required to cool down inside of MH for dog? Or the outside, in which case unless the pitch is on the Equator, there will indeed be shade from MH!
Did they get last pitch available, or was it allocated because of outfit size?
Why did MH require moving?
Sherlock Holmes would have his work cut out on this mystery? Hope for more clues tomorrow!

You can please some people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Would the OP please return to the thread with more information or details of what action they have taken, otherwise the thread will be locked as, without further information, it serves no useful purpose.
Thank You.

I doubt if OP could respond if they wanted to Jill, website has been down all day.

I suspect an unfortunate question of timing which might be something to do with current webpage essential maintenance? It usually corrects itself once the work is finished. I have suggested several times that when posts are moved that the contributor should receive an automated e-mail advising them of this but I suspect that won't happen with the current software. Posters can always check their profile but I wonder how many know how to do that. I should also say that people who post in the Story Section, except the regulars, rarely return to view any comments so most are, regretfully, a lost cause!

As apart from this post the OP's only other activity is two reviews over 4 years, I doubt they will be back. Hopefully, if it was a way of letting of steam, it has made them feel better.
Personally I don't think the 8:45 is pm. Otherwise by the time they got to the site and pitched, the sun would have been setting in the south of England and even in the north, not high enough to pose much of an issue. They could then perhaps have sorted another pitch / site the next day.

Animal welfare is entirely the owner's responsibility, if you take any animal onto a club site or a CL for that matter you must look after its needs, nobody else should be made envolved in it.

I think the OP is perfectly reasonable in their requests and I too have drawn up a list of 'Wants' I will require when I next visit a UK Campsite.
Pitch should be not too near the toilets – the hoi polloi are usually chattering to their friends/relatives especially around breakfast time and could disturb me on their way to and from the Urinal block.
All dogs should be mute within a 100 yard vicinity of my pitch – any noise from them should be followed by eviction of them and their owners.
An exclusion zone around my pitch to keep dogs away from soiling my personal space and stopping people from crossing my pitch as a 'rat run' to wherever they are going.
No Bird feed devices within 50 yards of my pitch to avoid the feathered pests splattering me and my belongings in defecation.
On my Birthday would they please provide a Cake, not too many candles which could divulge my advancing years, and a rendering of 'Happy Birthday' by my fellow campers would, as they say, put the icing on the cake on such a happy day in my life.
A largish, but not overhanging, tree either side of my pitch to provide shade, but not to deposit sap, is vital to help me avoid the bright red hue of my camping compatriots whose aim seems to be to get sunburnt and then be hospital bound.
As far away as possible from those with flashing lights at night as they invite the criminal types to the 'Look what I've got' camper with its fast draining battery.
As far as possible from the smelly Cassette emptying point but still within easy walking distance so my wife isn't exhausted after her journey with the cassette to and from the disposal point.
There are other more intimate hygiene questions that I will discuss with the Owner or Warden on my arrival but are of no interest to you.
This list is a minimal requirement - there are other 'wants' but I'll not burden them on you or you'll think I'm too aloof from my camping compatriots.

Ha Ha, very good K & M - it's a good job you went into detail though, because only the first few words of your post appear in latest activity.
Actually, although of course I may well be wrong, I suspect this is yet another of the weekend wind ups which have become very evident over the last few weekends.

I think you're right about the WWU
