Haycraft 2018
Has anyone been to Haycraft since it opened this year , if so have the alterations been done ie new hardstandings at the entrance and moving the sloping MH point. The Site Map is still the original. One of our favourite sites but once upgraded will be much better

Hi, the alterations haven't been done, in fact nothing has been done to this site over the winter...... This is one of our favourite sites too, spending circa 6 weeks per year there but it has really gone down hill and is in dire need of total refurbishment, we are here for 3 weeks now and the showers in the ladies are nothing more than a dribble on most days. The wardens Claire & Trevor work tirelessly trying to keep the standards up with a plumber on site almost daily on our first week trying to rectify the problem, but the reality is that this site is circa 20 years old and needs gutting but of course we contribute to the conditions as it is running at near capacity throughout the season so why would the club spend money on it??? I have contacted both Mark Houghton the area manager & Nick Lomas regarding the conditions but it's like talking to a brick wall. They don't seem to appreciate that we the members own the club & the sites therein and they treat us with contempt as a minor irritation to their day but of course we pay their salaries. The sooner they "wake up & smell the coffee" the better this club will be but I doubt with the arrogance they show, that isn't going to happen anytime soon. I suggest you look for alternative sites (Hunter's Moon for instance) where the facilities are second to none.
