Getting the right tyres
Hi, we are new to caravanning and have bought an old Abi Jublilee globetrotter. The tyres need replacing. The old ones put 155R13C 8P R 90/88R
Can anyone help us with what all that means and what kind of tyres we should be looking for?
Thanks.

The rims could do with a bit of TLC too.

You need 155/80 R13 R (90), any tyre company will recognise this.
These are not a common tyre as the load rating is for a van, the bit in the brackets is the load rating and needs to be 90 or above, this is important.
Quick look online gives:
Yokohama RY818 Delivery Star at £60 fitted,
Hankook Vantra RA18 155/80 R13 R (90), £76 fitted,
Kumho Radial 857 155/80 R13 R (90) £49 fitted.
All good brands with a good reputation.

Agreed except the 8P which means 8-ply and on modern tyres this is usually quoted as 'extra load' or XL or reinforced.
The C means that it is a van tyre (C=cargo - can be ignored) and the 90/88 means that it is weight rated as 90 which is 600Kg for a single axle caravan and 88 (560Kg) for a twin axle caravan per wheel.
With a 90 rating you should have a MTPLM (i.e. all up weight) of not more than about 1100Kg to leave some headroom.
Have a look at Avon tyres - I found them reasonably priced (at Just Tyres) and towed very well.
