We are having a long weekend at Great Yarmouth site at the end of the month. We will be looking at eating out for a celebratory meal Saturday evening and or Sunday lunchtime. We'll have a car so motorhome parking not required any suggestions? No dietary needs but one prefers meat and two veg 😉 others are game to try new and different.

Another couple of places in Gorleston on sea:

SW1 - doesn’t have a website but you can get info off trip advisor

The Shed - again look at trip advisor

The Cliff Hotel - Enjoy a meal on the terrace looking over the coastline  towards Lowestoft and also our stunning beach.

No personal recommendations but if you look on Google Earth or Google Maps in the vicinity of the Racecourse it will show various eateries and then just a case of looking for reviews. If you don't mind driving you will have a greater choice and perhaps somewhere on the Broads with a nice riverside pub?

started a thread but so far no response 😉 about somewhere to eat near in or near Great Yarmouth for a celebratory meal.

Hi B2, looked for your thread but can't see it.  There are lots of of the chain type pub/restaurant type places to eat.

Some of my favourites places are

The Cafe Crue, at the Imperial Hotel on the sea front at Yarmouth.

    https://www.imperialhotel.co.uk/file_download/3/cru-menu.pdf

and the Colombia Tavern just off Yarmouth seafront. Its Greek Cypriot food, where I ate last weekend

A good Indian restaurant is Planet Papadum on Yarmouth seafront

If I can help further please let me know

I've cut and pasted the above posted by Oneputt on another thread incase anyone is interested. Sadly the links don' remain live but can be copied and pasted nto the address bar.

Thanks for both posts Oneputt,  I think I'm sold on the Imperial Hotel menu 😆.  Looks like a couple or more of nice meals out. I like the sound of Gorleston too. Too much choice now 😂😂.

David Kylne thanks too. We've used the site a couple of times before, and there is/was a pub a short walk away but not suitable for what we want this time 😉 my baby will be 30 and and he doesn't know it but he's joining us - even better he and his partner are using a tent 😂😂. She said he seemed up for it at beer festival they didn't make it to. It'll be on our pitch,  or we can all be very very cosy in the motorhome 😲😲

Good choice B2, I’ve eaten there many times over the years and never had a bad or even average experience, always been excellent.  In fact had my surprise 50th birthday bash there

We had a really lovely meal to celebrate our son's 30th birthday in the Crue restaurant in the Imperial Hotel. Thank you so much for your local knowledge Oneputt. I can heartily endorse the recommendation. Might have to try out the other suggestions before we leave, but it might not be possible this trip - still good excuse to revisit 😃
