Do any of you look out for the yellow open gardens scheme signs locally or when you're off on holiday? The scheme raises funds for various charities. Today we're visiting a garden in Dorset with our gardening club. There will be some lovely gardens open just now, some do teas. Worth a look on their web site. smile

We do brue, visited a few. This is one of our favourites, in Lamorna Cove. Treasured memories of this place, it is very dog friendly, and we took our three Airedales around. They played happily all day with the owners lovely dog. Well worth a visit if in area. Lots of steps, steep paths, it is a cliff side garden!

Hope you enjoyed your latest visit.

We did enjoy our visit TDA, thank you. We visited Chideock Manor, in Chideock on the Dorset Coast. See HERE

It was really lovely, quite a surprise and in a very beautiful spot. As it was a group visit we had the gardens to ourselves, there is a very interesting church and history attached to the manor (connected to the Chideock Martyrs) which I knew nothing about. We had tea and cake inside the manor which was a treat.

If anyone is in the area (the new Bingham Grange site ?) or staying on the CLs in Chideock it is worth a visit. Just down the road is Seatown and the Anchor Inn overlooking the beach and Golden Cap can be climbed from the village. smile

What I like about the gardens is that you get a mix of great big ones to small private intimate ones ,and you can always get some idea's from them

Sounds very nice brue, we must revisit Dorset soon!

I agree HD, you do get some lovely ideas! You can often be the only ones visiting as well, so a very peaceful afternoon out! Some have private beaches as well, an extra bonus!
