I'd have though that they are the same as everyday pitches except you don't have to move the van on and off. not sure on this one but I think you can only stay in van for 3 week at a time.

As in when gone home, no. Whilst out and about in the time of occupation, yes as in normal use.

on some sites yes, some no, Troutbeck Head when we were there allowed the EHU cable to be kept in, but not sure about nowdays?

The max stay on club sites for persons is 21 days, and no return for one or two days (?) the caravan stays all the time you have paid for.

If you like the area and there is enough to do and you will make use of the van then yes they are good. It means you can arrive (without towing) any time you like and leave when you like, so weekends are more relaxed, no presure to get off quick on Friday, and leave on Monday morning/late Sunday. They can work out much cheaper than the equivalent number of days especially over peak periods, but price it out for yourself. There is just one price no matter how many occupants, ie no pitch and person fee, dogs as usual go freesmile. make sure the driving time is right for you.

We had one in the Lakes where we would do a different Wainwright each visit.

yes if there is more demand than supply then after a certain date when all the replies are in, some sort of random fair selection oocurs.

Having had a seasonal pitch 10 years ago the only thing you leave are the caravan legs down everything else must be put away.

As you apply for a seasonal usually around November time all the folk who have applied for your site are put together and names pick out.

As said before 21 days and two days off.

    Details are here:

    https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/uk-sites/club-sites/seasonal-pitches/

There is a downloadable T&C document on the right hand column.

Might save speculation and outdated responses.

I was staying at Rowan park recently, lovely site but I did notice that the seasonal unit's I saw were all pitched in the "noisy" part of the site .Might be worth looking into.
