Cable ties
For your info. From tomorrow, 24th May 18 Lidl are selling reusable cable ties, they call them unlocking type. 25 cm in length, £2.79 for 100 It is not very often that I see this type and they will save me some money.

I'm a cheapskate. I've used a watchmakers screwdriver to unhook them in the past so that they can be reused.

Baler twine, yer can't beat it! Granted, doesn't look as neat.

It plaits easier mind👍🏻. I like the green coloured twine it’s better for the environment🤔

Young friend of ours used to plait her own haynets, most impressive, excellent recycling! It was years before we lost habit of keeping a bit in LR.....emergency lead rein, emergency dog lead, short term fix for a busted gate, better than tights as a fan belt, excellent belt or braces......

My aim is to please. A watchmakers screwdriver is more expensive and I ain't got one of those. I did try with a Bradawl but my finger finished up with lots of little holes, so I admitted defeat. Anyway CY, is a cheapskate someone who buys a pair of cheap iceskates to save money? Just a thought !

Further savings can be made by reusing the plastic coated wire that holds new cables in neat bundles when something electrical is bought.
