Innocent
Anyone watching this four part series with Lee Ingleby who has been release from prison on a technicality having served seven years for murdering his wife but he maintains he is innocent of the crime. The police decide to reinvestigate the case but in doing so open so many cans of worms!!! It is being broadcast over four nights which we prefer as it's easier to remember the story line.

Yes, we're watching and enjoying it. Well written and acted and the tension and list of suspects is growing nicely.
BUT ..... we've got tickets for Miss Saigon at Bristol Hippodrome on Thursday so will have to catch up on the conclusion later, so no spoilers, please!

OH is watching it now, as I play on the computer. From what I can see it's building up nicely.

My only fear is that it is going a little too well!!!

I'm also watching it and wondering if there's going to be a 'twist' at the end....can't really guess it at the moment but really enjoying it.

What made me smile in last night's episode was the part where the sister in law was being questioned by the police. When the camera panned out from the interview room , you see the CCTV monitors showing the time etc ,you also see the date 2016 !😁.At least I now know when it was made.🤔🤔.

Loving it but I note it's listed as Series 1. I do hope that a conclusive ending is reached tonight. Too often such series end a season with a possible doubt which leads to protracted episodes being made. 'available' at a later date. I then loose interest!
The cinematography has been excellent and the acting too but I need closure tonight!

Interestingly I also said to Margaret at the end of the first episode who I thought it was and I was right. The guy that writes it, Chris Lang, also writes Unforgotten which is due to return soon with Neil Morrissey in one of the lead roles.

According to the Radio Times not. However they don't rule out a different story line with a different cast. See below.

Will there be another series of Innocent on ITV?
Probably not: the final episode of Innocent brings “resolution” to this particular story. Despite the show’s popularity, the drama was written by Chris Lang as a standalone series, and that is exactly how its stars see things ending.“I think it’s a self contained thing,” Lee Ingleby – who plays David Collins – tells RadioTimes.com.
Daniel Ryan, who plays his brother Phil, agrees that he doesn’t expect a series two: “It’s a one-off.”
However, ITV has not ruled out a second series, and it’s possible the drama could return with a new cast and storyline.0 -
OH thought it would be he, too, by the end of episode 3, as all the pothers were too obvious!!

Surely they could do a link to this series using a couple of the police. Will wait and see, and hope that they do continue.
