Hi All

We are heading up to the clubs site at Stonehaven in a few weeks. This will be our first stay at this site and I am wondering whether it is worth taking the bikes with us. Can anyone advise if there are any decent cycle routes near this site.

Thanks

Not sure, don't think there are any designated cycle paths nearby but I may have missed them.

Have seen plenty of cyclists using the site plus a fair few campers arrive by bike so can only assume there is good cycling to be had but have not heard of any designated routes.

A quick search on google actually comes up with lots of routes but I think mainly using normal roads.

A nice cycle route is to cycle to the monument to the south of Stonehaven ( a few wee hills to climb ) and from there it's possible to cycle on the coastal path to the Castle if you have an off road bike.

If you want a round trip come back by road, it's mostly downhill.
