Hi,  I am looking for a place to stand my caravan in the Devon area, it could be driveway or farm etc, my mother is at end of life, so I am unable to go away with my caravan. I am retired and was traveling a lot in my caravan. The caravan is 20 feet 10 inch’s long. It is my treasure and it’s beautiful, so I’m looking for somewhere secure. Please email me: cprt87@yahoo.co.uk.  Thank u.

Sorry to hear your sad news, thoughts are with you.

You may get better responses if you tell us where you are based, assuming your caravan is local to you too 😉. You can Google storage facilities locally and one may have space, which may speed things up.

Thank u so much for yr reply. I’ve googled lots but everyone seems to want to much, I’ve had to hand my notice in at work to stay with my mum 24 hrs a day. So money is very very tight. Thank u again for yr reply. Have a lovely weekend.

That is a very sad situation to find yourself in B233.

Finding somewhere cheap but secure wont be easy. Local farmers might be your best bet or a friendly and sympathetic CL owner would be my first choice.

Good luck with your search and all the best wishes to your mum.

Bandits233, have you tried googling caravan/farm/storage/devon as there are a lot out there at varying prices. We're near the Devon border and pass quite a few farms with storage but it also depends on what part of Devon you would like. Two of the club sites do storage in Devon, Ramslade and Cadeside, would that be any good? Hope you find somewhere.  smile

Has Cadeside moved from Somerset, Brue? undecided laughing

Bandits, have you checked out the small ads in the club magazine? I can recall seeing a small site advertising storage on the Devon/Cornwall border.

Around 25 miles and definitely in Zummerzet.

Devon is a big county and it might be helpful to know what area the OP has in mind.

No my mistake, but it's not far from the Devon border, Tiverton etc. smile

Could you place physical ad's locally? Maybe someone has space and would welcome a few pounds a week/month.  It's probably not what folks think of if they have the space.

I wish you every success in your search and hope things work out all round. Do let us know how you get on.

I would put an advert on some supermarket notice boards.  As someone has said, it's not anything you would think of, but personally if you were in our area I'd be happy to help by giving you some space on our drive - and I'm sure there are others in your area who would do the same.
