Tewkesbury Abbey
I'm taking my caravan to Gloucester at the end of June and wondered if there was any update on when Tewkesbury Abbey site will reopen.

The website seems to suggest 8th June 2018, but the whole booking calender is blanked out.....?

Jim, if Tewkesbury doesn't work out for you and you're looking for a very good (non club) site in the Gloucester area, can I suggest Tudor Caravan site at Slimbridge? Right next to the canal for walking and just a stone's throw from the world famous WWT site.

Cheltenham is nearer by a couple of miles. If you don't fancy the Race Course site you could try this one
http://www.davidklyne.co.uk/briarfields_touring_park.html but it is adults only.

we have stayed at the Tewkesbury Abbey site a few times enroute to the South coast and enjoyed the experience. The site is convenient to the shops and pubs and the area has great historical significance. --_ With one exception, -----those damn bells. The Abbey seems to practice over and over again the same boring set of bell ringing sequences, which after some time, just becomes annoying sound pollution.
Take ear plugs if you are going there.
