First Club Site booked - Hebden Bridge

Hi everyone,

We've booked our first club site in 3 years and are off to Hebden Bridge on Saturday.  We have always stayed on CLs so are a bit apprehensive.

Firstly, we expected to pay when we booked but it didn't ask for card details.  Do we pay on arrival?

Is there anything we need to know or will be told all the in's and outs when we arrive?

Thanks

Hi, 1Tracey! It is normal to pay on arrival with Club sites.  If you ask the site wardens  they will explain everything to you when you book in, enjoy your stay.

Yes, you’ll pay when you arrive. Don’t fret about the “ins and outs”, the wardens are there for you 👍

You pay on arrival and the wardens will explain everything. Should the office be closed, there will be a notice in the window telling you what to do.

You will be given any barrier codes/fobs necessary and shown how to pitch with either offside rear corner of the van to the peg or nearside front corner.

If you tell the warden you are a first timer, I’m sure you’ll be treated gently. smile

    Goodness, synchronised posting!

You will love Hebden Bridge Tracy,  it's a lovely site,  a bit like a big CL. We stayed there last year. Not sure if it will be the same wardens, but if it is  they were very helpful.

    Have a great time smile

Right there, Swifty. Wish there were a few more of them spread throughout the country.

I noticed that on the reverse of the site plan leaflet given out here there is the full set of diagrams showing all allowed pitching, ie nose in and reverse in to the peg, and also showing that when nose-in the awning does go on the door side.

I hope you're taking note Ian? (we know you're 'watching' btwsmile)

I’ve just taken a look at the site, looks lovely. Alas, no shower/toilet block ☹️

That’s why we've been referring to it as a non-facility site, Freddy. They are great sites.

My apologies, the penny should have dropped 🙂I’ve used CL’s (which this site has been compared with) in the past, and love the laid-back vibe, but SWMBO has an absolute minimum of shower facility, even though we have one onboard.

That’s a shame, Freddy. The non-fac sites are usually quieter than other club sites, even at peak times. They are bigger than CLs but the fees are comparable.
