Has anyone parked up with their caravan overnight for an early morning sailing to Jersey with Condor Ferries?  Just wondering whether it's a good idea or not ...

Parked overnight at Poole for the Cherbourg ferry.  It’s quiet with toilet facilities and the cafe opens at 6am for coffe and bacon rolls.  Meant to be a £5 charge but I didn’t pay it.  Don’t know if the Jersey ferry sails from the same dock though.

    This might help, JBH.

It seems the overnight charge is £10 from 2018.

I'll be interested to hear how you get on and what you think of the site you choose on Jersey.

Have a good time JBH, we did a rally on Jersey with the C&Cc and really enjoyed it. There are some nice campsites over there, (motorhomers can hire cars easily.) Parking is OK at Poole for the early start. smile

Thanks, I'll have a look at that.  Booked in at Rozel Camping.  The staff were very helpful, we got a booking reference and told to quote that when booking the ferry to get a discount.  Our permit for driving in Jersey was arranged and posted out to us also.

Cheers, JBH. That’s interesting to hear. Rozel is one we’ve been looking at. Have a good time.

Rozel is very nice, we were at Beauvelande which is also good but I think Rozel is slightly easier for local transport. From Beauvelande there was a lovely, but fairly long, walk down to the coast at Gorey and a garden centre en route that did very nice food, popular with the locals. With a smaller motorhome now Tinny you will find the island easy for travel. Some very pleasant coastal parking spots. I would happily go back for another holiday.

Cheers, Brue. We nearly did it this Spring but shelved it for later. It’s on the list though.
