Purchased brand new in 2015, damp occured in six months,3 sets of front windows fitted, toilet faulty, fridge faulty, locker handles rusting, side window twisted. Then year two, floor Delamination, paintwork problem, now further damp and side panel problem. Had more trips to the dealer than holidays. Not good for a brand new caravan.

You don`t give much detail why three sets of windows? was the fridge/toilet problem due to the manufacturer or fitting by Lunar. No its not good to get the other faults its strange how inconsistent the manufacturer of caravans is, we are on our third Lunar and have had virtually no problems as probably a lot of other buyers (overheating microwave changed in one).  The one consistent thread in a lot of posts regarding faults  is if you do get a bad one in any make it is bad!

If l remember the toilet is the dometic one, we had faults on ours turned out the the wiring loom was at fault dealer sorted it, now changed to a Coachman wanted a 2 berth,  nothing wrong with the clubman SB, just went back to the old faithful 2 berth layout, with a massive bathroom

Been there and had that with Lunar ROTR.

To me it doesn't matter if the fridge/toilet or any other 3rd party equipment is faulty its still up to the dealer to sort. We've had 3 new Omi-vents all sorted by the dealer. To be honest I don't care what the dealer has to do with the faulty one.

When we purchased our new Lunar one of the first problems was every time we travelled the front windows catches came undone as the wrong catches had been fitted in the factory.   After 3 months all the waste pipes dropped from under the van. Year 1 our floor delaminated.

So can empathise with you Roy, it  just like buying a new car from Red Robbo's gang in the 1970'ssurprised

My bête noire was a swift and I see little difference between most UK makes. Somebody gets a peach and we all hope that it is not us that gets the lemon

Thank you everyone for your replies, I am just at my wit's end with this caravan, our savings went into getting a new caravan only to have three years of problems.to change would mean a outlay of around £ 8000+.the caravan is back to the the dealer for another 5weeks+,more cancelled holidays.the three sets of replacement windows were due to them being twisted and out of line.damp now detected in roof bar and awning rail and a dull circular patch on the side of the caravan, as now been identified as a previous factory repair. Contacted legal helpline, unable to do anything as lunar are continuing their commitment to repair.

We purchased our lunar Cosmos 564 ( Quaser dealer special ) new in 2015 other than a fault with the circuit board on the Dometic toilet flush which was fixed when it went in for its first service and the usual problem with floor which apparently was a design fault on that year, which was again fixed under warrenty we have had 3 yrs trouble free caravaning the only gripe we have is the comfort of the double bed when made up but then it was our choice as we wanted a van with a rear lounge area. Would definatly consider buying Lunar again
