Late Night Arrivals

In the summer, we are visiting Fairlight Wood site in Hastings. I noticed that they have a late night arrivals area but I can't find any further details about this. Is there a last time of arrival for sites with this facility ? Can I stay there until my pitch is available the following day ? Or is it going to be a case of me contacting the site direct ?

Thanks

Late night arrival areas are for members arriving after the site warden has finished for the day. You can use them when you arrive until you can speak to the warden the next day. I have never had to use them and am pleased about that as from what I have seen they are very tight.

Phoning the site is the best idea. They may even let you on to pitch and then sort things out in the morning if your arrival is not to late.

You can arrive on the majority of sites up to 2000hrs after that LNA is available to use if you are held up, but a call to the site enroute if you are running late is a curtacy that all membesr would i think be expected, and not all LNAs have EHU

As others have suggested I had always thought that Late Night Arrival Areas were to be used by members who had booked to arrive that night but due to circumstances were likely to arrive after the deadline mentioned by JVB. They are not there as a means of waiting for a pitch the become available the next day. Often the Late Arrival areas have a different use during the day. I think also that the use of Late Night Arrival Areas has to be agreed with the warden of the individual campsite.

I do hope that this is correct, and not an early arrival scam.

yes +1. We once were running late due to road being temporarily closed, we rang ahead to inform and the wardens let us in when we arrived.
