It's another wet and cold day only 7°C . The plan to visit our local wood to check out the bluebells has been put on hold
Been out to Aldi, shopping completed, and put away, OH is out in the garage with "project Daffy" it's keeping him out of mischief
The Bulldozer's have now gutted our local field, in prep for the new houses and there is mud everywhere
I suppose it will get worse too before it gets better
Oneputt enjoy chilling, hope weather is better for some, have a good day folks.

Busy weekend.
Usual choir practice last night.
Concert this evening with my 'Singers' and we have a children's choir taking part too. Spent this morning unloading and loading the equipment into the car for tonight. Now doing a shop for a wedding present and some items to amuse the children for tonight's concert plus other things. Then back home to get ready for the concert and to be in for when our daughter and son in law arrive. Drop the Dog off at 5.15 and then straight to the concert venue. Concert at 7pm. Pick dog up at about 11pm.
Uunload the car before our usual service tomorrow morning. Then we go to a friend's wedding (somewhere else) for the rest of the day. Drop dog off on the way - collect dog about 11.15pm on the way back.
That's what it's like here....... 😀😆

Wet walks so far today, there must have some really heavy rain overnight as water from the woods has washed a lot of debris down and across one of the footpaths and into the road ,also several "flooded" (drains blocked)roads around town when i took some bits to caravan, ,via vets, to pick up some outstanding medication for Rosa(nothing serious),

I'm just having a few minutes in the car - having got back from getting the dog food from Pets at Home - Carol is in Sainsbury's. Having difficulty in finding a plastic trumpet - managed to get a toy mouse and a bar of chocolate (don't even ask!!! 😀). Hope's she brings a sandwich from Sainsbury's... Really need to get back, have my hair cut and jump in the shower. May have to give up on the trumpet....

It has been a day of very wet walkies so far, there must have been some very heavy rain overnight,as a lot of water has come down the hill out of the woods and brought a lot of debris with it witch has blocked one of the footpaths and part of a road ,also when taking some bits to c/van ,via vets to pick up some outstanding medication for Rosa(not serious) there were huge puddles on some of the roads (blocked drains?) that were causing congestion as they were also quite deep requiring going round them
OOPs how did this happen

Well another awful day in the Midlands, it rained almost all day yesterday whereas today was forecast to be dry - some chance!
No it is definitely a caravan day. Looking forward to escaping these shores next week.

Typical April day again today sunshine and showers, we didn't get the frost here last night thankfully however we did get a couple of very heavy showers, they must have kept the frost at bay.
Did a bit of housework this morning before going to see Mum, she was looking well, relaxed and happy so now I'm happy.
Bit of shopping on the way home, why is it you go in for 2 things and come out with 2 bags full
Sun's just come out again so might go and plant the new Clematis I bought the other day, after I've had my cuppa that OH has just made me
MH almost ready, clothes in just need to check what toiletries are required then I can sit back and wait for tomorrow.

Another wet morning here - they won't be asking us back again! - but it did clear up midday so we got out for a very good pub lunch at The Stag in Offchurch (highly recommended for anyone staying here later) and then a walk with the dogs along the river at Leamington Spa. Forecast for tomorrow is better at least, but Monday's looking horrendous.
We move on on Tuesday so it's bound to warm up then!

Sunny but cool. The milk cows stayed outside overnight last night for the first time, and didn’t seem to mind. Most stock is now outside and more will follow soon, leaving only young calves, and cows near to calving inside. The balance of work shifts, as while there’s no feeding or mucking out, everything needs to be checked; so the bike comes into its own.
We treated ourselves to bargain breakfast (at lunch time) at a local cafe/farm shop. We had a voucher towards the cost, but I nullified that by buying a scarf in the shop. It must have had a sign saying “buy me”.
The caravan has been moved from a field to a “hard standing” near power and water so we can get it ready for going away on Wednesday.
I’ve done a stock check of drink we left in over winter (why?), so I can replenish. They may not be time to clean the van as we’ve a busy few days ahead. So ours will be the dirty 12 year old one amongst the shiny new ones.

A few minutes in the garden after a busy day, it's apple blossom time round here. A neighbour has bee hives, if the sun comes out the trees will be buzzing, but it was quiet today. I regularly have to remove quite a few honey bees from our home, letting them out via various windows, nice to see them after the winter months. But the blossom is looking good and after quite a bit of pruning we won't be too overloaded with apples this year. This is a cider apple blossom called Sweet Alford.

Lovely blossom Brue, we saw some lovely blossom in the Brockhampton Estate orchard last weekend.
Been a quiet afternoon, a bit of housework & had a visit from a friend .
May venture out to our local pub later, there is usually some live music on as its the last Saturday in the month.

Francis I'm glad you're enjoying sunshine. I too am green with envy but delighted that the sun is still in the sky 😉. Rain and more rain here although I believe it has stopped now.
Brue beautiful blossom, I hope you'e feeling better?
Helenandtrevor like you I'm longing to go and walk among the bluebells. Hopefully we'l be able to before too long.
DSB you certainly offer a moving target 😉. I hope you got your sandwich lunch and a plastic trumpet. Enjoy your evening and the celebrations tomorrow.
Feeling achy today to add to my sore throat and runny nose, OH still under the weather, so I presume I've caught something from himself 😔 so somewhat miffed to hear others doing energetic things like cleaning, dog walking etc, not that our weather is enticing.

Lovely photo of the blossom brue. We have lots of beautiful cherry blossom out around here at the moment, although it is a bit sodden at the moment. I too would love to have a walk amongst the bluebells. Hopefully in a day or two. We can but hope for drier weather soon. I hope you have a good night out at your local pub Helen.
I hope you feel better soon bakers2 and brue.

Thanks Bakers2. We didn't manage a plastic trumpet. Instead I managed to borrow a real Cornet (very similar to a trumpet). All these things were to use as a visual aid to keep the interest of the children in the audience tonight. I ended up by giving my wife's Dairy milk chocolate away to one of the children towards the end of the programme. We had a great concert tonight. Bring on tomorrow..... 😀😀

Similar here OP, OH off to a fishing match, I'm staying in the warm, hope B2 is ok, really fed up to have another cold!
Enjoyed hearing about DSB's evening, hope you can relax today or are you doing more music? Our daughter was playing her fiddle yesterday as an afternoon entertainment locally then she was went to hear other musicians playing in the evening. I visited my Mum and left her listening to someone playing the piano so it was a music day for all.
edit Oneputt, what a beautiful blue, spring flowers are lovely aren't they!
