Changing the lino
We have decide to restyle our caravan and I'm considering replacing the dated beige flooring.
The layout is regular seating at the front, the kitchen leading to 2 single beds either side facing front to back and the a small WC.
If I replaced the flooring with lino it would be expensive as I would large amounts of waste under the beds.
I would like to stick modern wood effect sticky strips on to of the current lino where viable.
Would this cause an issue? Obviously I would need to consider the extra weight.

... and height. The thickness may cause some doors/lockers to jam.

Thankfully we only have overhead lockers, should be an issue.
Should I cut out the old lino or just place it on top£
What is under the lino wood, fibreglass or something else???

With ours the vinyl flooring skins the whole floor and all the furniture is planted down onto this; absolutely in no way would I be peeling that off or taking down the furniture and main bulkhead divider to resurface the floor. The substrate is a plywood facing forming the upper surface of a sandwich constructed floor.
The only viable option I can envisage is to face over the visible sections of the floor with a covering of choice. I did make some "Flotex" drop-in covers to effectively loose carpet the floor on one trailer tent. This Flotex carpet makes an excellent flooring cover very easily cleaned, if it has patterns that appeal to you.

As oscid says above, no way would I attempt to remove the glued down Lino. It would have to be in a very bad state to even think about removal.
Our van has carpet fitted to all visible area's, and that's what I would recommend if you wish to update, providing of course that you have clearance for cupboards or doors in particular the fridge door.
Good luck with your change of decor.
