Plans for our first overseas trip in the motorhome
Had a caravan for many years and toured in the U.K. and in Europe many times but we have both taken early retirement and want to do a lot of travelling so sold the caravan in late 2017 and ordered a motorhome. The new motorhome was delivered in early March and we are very pleased with it. Immediately started making plans to take abroad but started with a few trial runs to make sure everything working ok. We had one night at Burrs country park, three nights at Knight Stainforth camping site in Settle (where we had our caravan on a seasonal pitch for a few years) and then four nights at Garlieston CAMC site. I wanted to try everything out and get at least 500 miles on the clock before we went abroad
We are taking the Hull to Zeebrugge ferry in early May and are travelling for 5 weeks Only plans so far are for our first night where we will stay at Peronne After reading all the info on here we have joined French passion and ACSI , we have got our crit air sticker , we have the camper contact website and so will just take things as they come. We have saved a number of French Passion stops that look interesting which include Champagne and other vineyards, goat cheese farms, snail farms, restaurants and others so let’s see where the road takes us
