Hello from Donegal, in the north west corner of Ireland!

We are new to the club and relatively new to caravanning laughing

Borrowed a caravan a few times over the years and we finally bought our own - a second hand Abbey Vogue in September, managed a weekend away an hour from home before winter set in, travelled the length of Ireland to Cork and back over Easter and are now preparing and planning a trip across France to the German border - ambitious perhaps but I won a ferry crossing for a car and 4 passengers, cabin, meals onboard and spending money in a radio competition so we have no choice but to go!

Driving a VW Tiguan 4 motion (12 reg) it handles the caravan brilliantly

Hoping to find good advice from all you more experienced members

Congratulations on both your win and your new caravan and welcome from me.

I decided a few years ago to venture across La Manche and found the 'Overseas Sites' section in this forum to be fantastic. The stories and knowledge that members freely gave was invaluable.

There's a vast wealth of knowledge on here and all you have to do is ask - some of the members have their own websites as well as reviews etc etc

I found booking with the Club for ferries and sites also very useful and their information for travelling abroad is invaluable

    Enjoy!

I had an Abbey Vogue until last year when I swapped over to a M/Home. Welcome to CT.
