Powrtouch phone number?
Does anyone have a direct phone number for Powrtouch that by passes the answerphone? Based on personal experience I no longer trust organisations that hide behind answer phones during office hours to actually reply. One of the units on our less than 2 year old AWD system has failed and we go away on Thursday.

Flatcoat - yes, I do. Ring Brian Haddon (Technical Dept) on 01283 587903 - that's his DDI number. He was extremely helpful when I had a problem with ours, a couple of months ago - but I was put straight through to him from their switchboard number the first time I rang with no problems. Based on my limited contact with Powrtouch, I found them an excellent company to deal with.

Flatcoat - Since I don't know what Powrtouch said to you - here's a couple of things to check in the meantime.......
Run the rollers without engaging them on the wheels - switch the mover on and just use it as you would normally without the rollers engaged. Whilst doing this, monitor the battery voltage - assuming there is a voltmeter in the van. If it drops to below 12v very quickly (as mine did - i.e. within 30 seconds or so), a faulty battery is indicated.
Secondly - check the connections on the power leads coming out of each of the control boxes. There should be two studs / bolts mounted on the floor where the positive and negative terminals are connected. Make sure the nuts on these are really tight. Apparently it is common for them not to be tightened correctly when fitted and they come loose over time.

I did all the obvious checks before phoning Powrtouch and lack of battery power or poor connections are not the problem. One of the four units is dead, the others are fine so I can engage 2 of the 4 motors and fortunately get some movement.
