I have owned and maintained a Bailey Unicorn Valencia Mk 1 for nearly 7 yrs now and I have to say it’s been brilliant. Yes, of course I’ve had the odd thing go wrong like thermo couples and gas struts but that is only to be expected The electric fuse box broke loose but that was quickly and easily solved. Being a caravan and standing out in all weathers I have had to do general maintenance with the magic  ‘maintenance spray’ but, generally I really can’t moan. This sort of thread is the one thing that puts me off buying a newer van- what could I end up with???

Our Lunar Lexon has had sections of the floor replaced every year since it was bought new in 2014. each year a different section of floor delaminates. For the latest repair it took about 4 months to get the parts from Lunar. I don't know how much of the original floor is left to know if we have reached the end of the job yet.

We had a Lunar Clubman ES for 6 years. Spent 360 nights away. No build quality issues to speak of.

Only build quality item was a cupboard door hinge coming loose third day. Easy fix as obviously overtightened.

Bought a new version in December as the most comfortable seating

I’m starting to wonder if some of the major problems are with dealer specials.  Maybe when Lunar realise they have a problem they designate that van as a dealer special. For sure I wouldn’t buy another dealer special and I won’t be buying another Lunar.  Wow I may have started a new conspiracy theory surprised

I’ll be in the market for a new ‘van’ myself, next year. All these horror stories are filling me with trepidation frown

You keep buying them and they will continue to make them, gave up on British vans 35 yrs ago, never looked back, all kippers and curtains, ten year garantee  against water ingress... you should not need it. My old van is now worth more than I paid for it and going up in price.😄
