Water flow issues

The last few times we have been out we have had trouble with our water.  When it comes out of the taps it "splurts" every time we change the temperature or turn the tap on.  This previously only happened when we first set up and ran the water through but it is now happening every time we turn a tap on and the shower no longer runs as smoothly as it did.  We bought a new pump to see if that would help but no change (not a problem as we wanted a spare anyway).  Does anyone have an idea how we can fix this issue.

Sounds as though it is sucking air in somewhere. Was the pump you changed the in aquaroll type, or inboard. If inboard the seal on your tube to the aquaroll could be damaged, or there could be a hole in the actual tube. We had that problem when a split developed in the tube on our previous van, solved temporarily with some waterproof tape. If you actually changed the aquaroll tube / pump, clearly that is not the fault.

Thanks for your response.  We have an aquaroll and bought a new pump for it.

Do you store the pump/hose non straight ie curled. This past weekend where the temperature was low the hose in our waterhog (other barrels are available) was found to have a 'set' in it after being stored in the sink. This displayed similar symptoms to yours, until I straightened the hose and refitted it to the waterhog.

Now store it in the shower cubicle when not in use.

Have realised why some folk use a pipe to put the hose into the barrel.

This happened to us on a few occasions and it was the “O” rings on the connector on the plug that fits into the side of the van. Fit new ring(s) and smear with silicone grease.

If it’s a Whale and you speak to them nicely they may send you a spare pack.

We have a similar issue if we don't get the caravan dead level front to back  , my guess it's an airlock / air bleed problem while filling the water system .

The way to check the connector is for somebody to stand outside and move it around a little to see the if the spluttering changes or stops. We have changed O Rings about three times over the years.

Thanks for all your tips folks.  We do just shove our pump in the front locker curled around.  We will straighten it out and check the connectors next time we are away.

None return valve is not working as it should be water is draining back in to aquaroll over a period of time .Same thing was happening to us over night traced it back to faulty valve not holding
