Beast from the East not set to return over Easter
Good news for Easter - according to today's weather reports, including an article from the standard, the Beast from the East is not set to return and snowfall should only be over hills in the North and not across the whole of the UK.
We may still get some rain but travelling to sites should hopefully not be disrupted due to snow. What's more here are some great ideas of things to do on a rainy day to keep everyone happy and occupied over the Easter holidays:
So don't be put off by the weather, if you've not already booked, check our late availability on Club Sites and CL late availability discussion.

Being serious, and I hate to be boring but it is not only the elements; consider the the ground conditions!
We are on a club site in the south west without hardstanding and the site is saturated now. It was bad enough when we arrived 12 days ago but so much rain has made it very difficult.
Don't blame the wardens, not their fault but do call them first, if they havent called you already, just to check accessability.
Do hope your Easter break wherever is a good one!

It seems we've swapped the beast from the east for the pest from the west.

I know I'm odd but I quite fancy the Beast to come back! Might get another days skiing in at http://www.yadmoss.co.uk/ in the North Pennines!

I'm not usually a prophet of doom but here we are with a couple of inches of snow and counting.
We are at 200 meters above sea level so we are in the hills but the centre of Huddersfield is only 80 metre and it's bad there.
Are we really in the North, there's another 200 miles of England before you get to the Scottish border. A more accurate description might be "midlands" as it's the same distance roughly to London.
Apparently the main snowfall up here is on the Eastern side of the Pennines and the forecast is for it to turn to rain this afternoon.
To anyone travelling from east to west across the Pennines today be aware most of the trans-pennine routes are currently either closed or extremely difficult.
Stay safe.

Rowena - do you have a relative called Michael Fish ?
Please stick to Caravan and Motorhome matters in future.
It's lucky I bought the wife a snow shovel for Christmas - she's certainly finding it useful.

No snow in East Yorkshire, certainly no beast from the east or even close👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊

Rain nearly all day in S.Cumbria, and chilly with it, but there was snow down to low level on the Lakeland Fells. Some will have been washed off but there'll be plenty on the high tops still.

Has anyone else seen the front page of the Daily Telegraph? There's a large pic of a caravan with awning with snow on the ground!
Wow caravans making front page news
Has anyone read the paper (I've just seen the front page on the BBC) what site is it, and of course is there a heater in the awning? It looks like a Bradcot awning?
