Kinlochewe full 14-16 May!

Is there something happening near Kinlochewe during these dates that make it the only time, so far, that it is booked up? Just the dates we wanted, bah!

    Plenty of wild camp areas there and sites at Gairloch

    Not long replying JV. It was just a thought for someone in the area and no site to park on.

    Never considered wild camping, we're not that brave!Mind you if it involves gin, bring it on!

    I would ring the site.  Best source of information. 

    Wild camping is camping with a small tent miles from any road.. That is allowed within the freedom to roam legislation. 

    What some M/h owners do on the other hand, is park up overnight in laybys; rough ground  and car parks . That is Not Wild Camping and that sort of activity is being, quite rightly, clamped down on by most local authorities in Scotland.

    It's  only right that everyone contributes to the local economy by using proper sites
