Looking to be away this week ( snow may change things).Initially looking at Morris Leisure- Llanberis  using their 3 for 2 offers. Now see Brecon CC site has mid week discount, so pricing similar in both. We know each area well and both sites. SO similar quality and similar pricing with discounts. Plenty to do at both locations and we can use our Bus passes at each. Will opt for Brecon giving our hard earned cash to the club. A little more imagination on pricing by the club in these lean months could be beneficial and ensure year round vaners like us use club sites on  more regular basis instead of the commercials who are much more innovative in their prices. Any chance of HO listening- No.

Agree with you there. It's been suggested often in the past, Fisherman, but without a response from HO.

I suppose it depends on how the Club decide on their site pricing policy. They will have historic occupancy rates. They will know how much in turnover they expect a particular site to take over the course of a year. Given those two factors they can further work out that perhaps the midweek discount might encourage more use on some sites. However what is the point of discounting a site that already shows high occupancy rates throughout the year. We have been to both the sites mentioned by the OP in September last years and I would say that occupancy rates on both were pretty high. Perhaps one way might be to have differential pitch pricing depending on size and surface. Many sites have different prices for hardstanding v grass pitches or between awning and non awning pitches. At the end of the day the Club will still want to achieve that turnover target for each of its sites.

I think Jan - April is a bit different from September. Late availability showed plenty of spaces at most CC sites in that period. By the way the 3 for 2 at ML includes week ends. After seeing the weather we will delay our trip and go to Llanberis as the discount aplies  for  the weekend. Each to his own.

If seasonal pitches on some sites can work out to be about £5.00 per night, then why not give more mid week discounts, or even family discounts on certain weekends to encourage families.

It's unlikely that the majority of seasonal pitches are occupied full time and even they have an occupation limit so the daily price increases pro rata for anyone on those pitches. The club offers some sites for £14 all in and a few have low pricing eg Plymouth Sound. Plus the £1 rate for children on some sites. Much depends on where and when you want to go to a club site.

It has EHU but no facility block.

The only site without EHU is Steamer Quay, Totnes.

Even less, Altnaharra, £10.50. I think that must be the winner?

Marazion, non EHU £10.30 for an example, there are others. I think they used to be around £9 so a price increase on those?
