Living in a Caravan Vs Living in a house

I think his earnings are to high to claim, because in order for his wife to stay in this country he has to declare a certain amount of income, which I think is too much for benefits, plus he has a tenancy agreement on his cousins house, again for immigration purposes.

Pizza Hut don't give me 40 hours a week work. They gave me 13 to16 hours in January to February but recently 20 hours over last two weeks.

Yes, that's right, cariadon.

I'll just have to stay alive, Yertiz! Then she can be provided for out of my pension and earnings!

I'm really not bothered about the financial side of your life, I'm more concerned about you possibly leaving your wife, in a caravan on a side street on her own, while you are out delivering pizzas!
There`are some nasty people about these days
But, of course, that is not going to happen as it's a wind up, eh?

You seem to be getting mighty het up for someone who's not bothered and realises it's a wind up, Yertiz.

I’ve always come down on the “living in a house” side, but on days like this I can think of one reason why a caravan (at least a modern one) may be better - only one room to heat. I’ve never lived in a house with central heating, so I’m pretty hardy. But when the wind from the east blows through the walls in our bedroom, and the room temperature is at 8 degrees, there’s maybe something to be said for one cosy little room.
P.S. It’s warm in bed under the duvet.

That’s an extremely unpleasant personal comment to make, Cariadon. Do you not stop and think betore you post?
Reported.

I agree that a single caravan room can be nice and cosy, we were warm at Rowntree Park in the snow earlier in the month, the only problem was pipes freezing up! That used to be a problem in houses years ago but not such a common event now.

Unfortunately the proposed circumstances of leaving someone alone in a van on the streets of Worthing does raise a few issues about safety and welfare for any individual.
The proposal to then use Northbrook Farm club site facilities whilst parked on the street is questionable to say the least.
This is a matter for the club too.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the supposed activity, Brue, it does not excuse the making of such unpleasant personal comments.

For a group of supposed intelligent people who regularly call Malc a ‘wind up merchant’ nearing a ‘liar’ i’m Shocked at the abuse on here☹️

I also mentioned the other disgraceful posts in my report, Rocky. It’s shameful.

Perhaps you should report, Easy. I don't want to see posts such as the ones we're talking about, even if the poster being targetted isn’t bothered, and I doubt others are happy to read them either. Unless people report, the CM is unlikely to be aware of the existence of such posts or of the disgust felt by some of us.

Possibly but I’ll put money on it not being the end of the subject.

TW the CM is aware of this subject. I asked for help recently unfortunately my action brought a torrent of abuse from MM. We have also had guidance from a moderator. This thread was started to avoid the other social thread becoming overloaded on one subject. I would prefer to leave it to the mods and CM as a judgement call. The suggestion to resist responding is still valid IMHO.

You said earlier that you're not bothered and it won’t happen. Now you are bothered and seem to think it will happen. Make your mind up, Yertiz.

Very interesting reading the different comments in this thread. it seems to me some of the posters are quite happy to add criticism/ their take on a post in this and various other threads they don't agree with, but when others post their own personal take on what is being discussed they suddenly take to the moral high ground, In this post the OP chooses to be very open about his personal circumstances, his free choice? but to start accusing others of being out of order is just two faced in my book.
Just saying it as I see it.
Wearing my Tin hat now

So are you saying you think it’s wrong to report offensive posts?
The CM may well be aware of the subject in general but we are talking here about certain posts which are way out of order. You know full well that action is sometimes only taken by the CM when the weight of reports demands that she acts. Part of management's job is to enforce the T&Cs with due regard to the effect on all members.
Believing that an issue is in hand does not negate our role in acting responsibly by bringing particular posts to the CM's attention. To do otherwise implies that we have no problem with such posts.
