Just read that Jim Bowen has died aged 80 years.  Not a good week for people who told jokes.

Jim  Bowen  was  a  Deputy  Headteacher  from  the  North-West  Of  England,  CY.  He  became  a  Professional  comedian  to  earn  a  few  quid wink.  As  the  Question  master  on  'Bullseye'  a  Sunday  tea-time  ITV   programme  he  became  well  known  for  his  comment  to  the  losers  in  the  final  part  of  the  programme  --  Now  here's  what  you  Would  have  won.  Gentle  entertainment  with  lots  of  bad  jokes  knowingly  told  and  no  bad  language.

Because it's a free country. Although looking at my council tax bill increase, perhaps not.

About 15 years ago I went to the theatre at Port Sunlight to 'An Evening with Jim Bowen' or similar title. What a raconteur and a delightful chap.

It certainly is a free country, but making crass quips about the recently deceased is bad manners

Hardly a crass quip. As originally posted, neither my wife nor I had heard of him.

Precisely, so why did you feel the need to post your crass quip, apart from your need to be "funny"
