Our first motorhomes
Hi All, Been Caravaning for 35 years and now gone over to Motorhome, for health reason, We now got a Auto- Trail Tracker RS 2 berth model, Pick it up last Friday, I enjoy driving it back home, found it relaxing,
Just like to ask how do the mirror protector fitted on top of the old mirror all ready there,
Thank you Elsa

Well known brands such as Milenco fit over the original mirror, usually quite tight to get on, and are very good at impacting any blows.
Look on the Milenco site to choose which ones are suitable.
Here's one I did earlier - please excuse the expletives - https://youtu.be/XFi5Lx2y2ug

The Milenco ones are a bit flimsy. MirrorGuard are far more sturdy.

Mirror Guard were recommended by our dealer. They aren’t cheap but much cheaper than replacing a wing mirror and so far have survived a couple of bashes. They come with double sided tape and are a tight push fit.

Hi Elsa I also moved from caravan to Motorhome last year and I find the motorhome much more relaxing and easier to set up.
I bought a set of the mirror guard protectors at the caravan & Motorhome show and they had the Milenco ones there to compare. The mirror guard ones felt much stronger than the Milenco ones.
Fitting was not a problem the salesperson at the mirrorguard stand said to go round the edge of the guard with a little fairy liquid then take the paper off the double sided tape which is already on the inside of the guard then push on over your mirror until fully on and the sticky pads just help it to stay on and also to make it a bit herder for anyone to take them off.

Mirror guard are pretty meaty units, I had them on a previous van.
they operate from a local property quite near us and I cycled over and picked ours up...they are tough and available in different colours, from memory.
id just order them online ....job done...

Merc mirrors smash nicely. £180 for a replacement powered mirror.

We were surprised. The Sprinter mirror can be bought piece by piece - separate glasses, casings etc - but we needed the whole thing bar the arm.
