Peugeot Autoquest Vehicle Tax
My motorhome is off road at the moment so is declared SORN. Does anyone know how much it will be to tax my motorhome for 12 months from April? The engine size is just under 2000cc. I have read somewhere that vehicle tax is changing quite a bit in April so I was wondering if I would be better taxing it in March, even though I would be unlikely to use it until April.

The changes are for new vehicles, yours is unlikely to change other than the usual budget increases . Actual engine size is irrelevant, it's the emissions that count, my 700cc Smart Roadster is something like £130 a year, whereas my slightly newer1000cc Smart Fortwo is £30 a year. (I try to ignore the cost of road tax on my R320 😯)

MHs aren’t usually taxed by emissions but the rules have changed over the years so I wouldn’t like to hazard a guess, vbfg. I think our 2017 Peugeot 2L was £245 for the year but yours might not be the same.
Give DVLA a call or try this link

and it may lead you to the rate for your vehicle.

At least they’ve stopped the surcharge on credit card payments now. 👍🏻

as long as the emmisions level isnt shown on the Certificate of Conformity (and it shouldnt be for a MH) then there will be one of two charges, depending on MTPLM.
Lighter vans under 3500kg (LPGV) perversely are charged at the higher rate, currently £245 as mentioned above.
Heavier vans over 3500kg but probably under some other limit I can't remember, 7500kg?? (PHGV) cost £165 at the last count that I recall.
