Took my caravan (2009 Bailey Ranger Series 6 GT60) out of storage this morning for pre season clean etc and noticed that the overhead front cupboard door (the long one) was warped and will not lock closed!  Currently, it is inside with weights on the ends against the warp in an attempt to re straighten it.  I had left all the interior doors open over the winter to aid ventilation and there are no signs of damp etc.  Other than this the caravan was fine and everything works.  I will report back after a few days.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did they solve it?

Perhaps leaving it open caused the warp as it’s weight wasn’t evenly distributed?

Yes, I was thinking that too!  Hope I can straighten it.  Any chippies out there?

I doubt it’s real wood, Comeyras, so I’d carry on doing what you're doing and see how it goes. Give it time.

We had this problem with the doors on a Bailey Pegasus a few years ago. It happened every winter then the doors regained their correct profile once the warmer weather arrived. Not very satisfactory and Bailey never came up with a cure.

Does the offending door have a second decorative veneer on the face? This can lead to an imbalance in the panel and therefore bowing or twisting. A change in temperature or humidity can sometimes rectify the problem.

Thanks for your comments.  Scoutman, it's a veneer on a soft wood frame with that stupid Bailey plastic clip type locking bar in the centre.  Will give it a couple more days then refit and hope a change in humidity rectifies my problem.
