When was there ever a final played for this tournament. Isn't it just a league or have they changed the format?
Either way Ireland looked good didn't they? Puts our performance last week against Italy into perspective.
My heart says - 1 England 2 Ireland 3 Wales 4 France 5 Scotland and 6 Italy
But my head says it could be the other way round at the top.

Can't believe it! Another French surrender. A real feeling of deja-vu.
Congratulations to Scotland on their victory on what turned out to be a most enjoyable first half, the second being littered with too many mistakes and misdemeanours (which ultimately cost the French)
Anyone who knows anything about rugby, understands you don't conceed penalties in your own half if Grieg Laidlaw is on the field. (It was the same with Gavin Hastings although he could slot them from within his own half) His kicking was immaculate and won the day for Scotland.
Even when he was tiring, a superb tactical substitution from Gregor Townsend switching him to fly-half, meant keeping the kicker on the pitch.
Everything set up nicely for a fortnights' time.
In reference to Wales' "disallowed" try, this from Jeremy Guscott....
Gareth Anscombe's disallowed try was a huge decision in England's win over Wales and the television match official Glenn Newman got that call wrong - but it wouldn't have been a try anyway.
The TMO should have been shown the action frame by frame, which would have revealed the ball was touched down by Wales full-back Anscombe - his fingers brush it before England wing Anthony Watson gets his hands on the ball - so the touchdown is good.
But if he had seen the play frame by frame, he would also have seen the ball hitting Wales winger Steff Evans' fingers in the build-up - so the try wouldn't have stood as it was a knock-on.

Not long now plus BIG Nate Hughes back at 8 for England.
I can hear the wonderful tones of the late, great William Pollock McLaren, CBE the 'voice of rugby' in his best Hawick excited voice, (which always went a little higher when Scotland played England!)
"They'll be feeling that collision in Eden Park, I can tell you!"
Great man.

Two brilliant games today and well done to both winners. England are nowhere near their best this year and ill discipline cost them dearly, but that shouldn't detract from an excellent Scottish performance. They seem rejuvenated by their new coaching team. I think France v England will be an interesting game between two teams who so far have flattered to deceive.

Two good games, and ( ducking below the desk ) very good performances by the Refereeing teams !!
Must say that The Mighty England appear to have been robbed today, not by their opponents, far from it, but by whoever stole their brains ! So many silly, if not downright STUPID, fouls gave them the result they so rightly deserved from this performance. They seemed for 65 minutes to believe the saying " Might is Right" applied to them, only for the last few minutes did they seem to realise what were the tactics to use i.e. play good rugby.

Well played Scotland. You out-fought and out-thought England and for the first time, Eddie had no answer. Maybe now he will learn that playing a second row at flanker is not a good idea. Lawes cost England territory, possession and points. Time for a rethink Mr Jones.

Its the unexpected results that make this competition so great. Wales thrash Scotland and get cheated against England. Scotland then thrash England..The Irish show their stubbornness and guile. England are the usual unimaginative side. But its good watching Rugby

If Wales did what Scotland did they wouldn’t need to cry foul, just get a well fought win & get it beyond doubt👍🏻😊

Scottish Rugby said on Thursday it was "appalled" by the verbal abuse suffered by the England head coach.
"The disgusting behaviour of those involved does not represent the values of our sport or its fans," it said in a statement. "The dignity Eddie and the England team showed on Saturday is in stark contrast to this ugly incident."
Jones claims comments made by Scotland great Gavin Hastings did not help.
Former Scotland and Lions captain Hastings, who won 67 international caps, said opposing supporters of Jones' team wanted to "rub his face in the dirt".
Well, it's been 10 years since they last won the Calcutta Cup. I doubt the perpetrators were even rugby fans. Smacks of 'round-ball' mentality to me? It still has no place in society.
