Hitch/ Fairing cover!

When we were away at Poolsbrook last week our hitch/ fairing cover blew away, never to be seen again!  We would like to buy a new one, but would like a really large one to cover not only the hitch, handbrake and jockey wheel handle, but also the electric cable which fits into a little holder towards the back of the fairing.

With the old cover, we either had to leave the electric cable exposed, or move it from the holder and tuck it underneath the handbrake.  We would like a cover big enough to cover the lot.  This might be an impossible quest, but just thought I would ask just in case anyone knows of anything.  Would prefer to buy one than go to the trouble of making one.

I use [THESE] for any bags/covers etc, they have one hitch cover just over a metre long rather than the standard 50/70cm 'ish.

David - I bought just the sort of thing you're looking for last year, but I can't remember if it was from eBay or amazon. But it was very good value. I'll have a look back tomorrow morning and let you know. smile

I use a jumbo size Levington compost sack turned inside out - so all black and no advert showing.

Found it! David - have a look on Amazon - just search for "hitch cover". You should find a "universal Caravan XL Hitch Cover" sold by Olpro. Mine was plain blue and cost just £7. smile

Thanks folks.  I'm going to nip down to Jackson's of Arley today to see what they've got in stock (always worth a visit anyway). If I don't see anything I like the look of I'll probably order the one Moulsey and Lornalou1 are referring to.

I'll see how I get on.  Thanks for all your suggestions.  I'll let you all know how I get on.

Just to let you all know, I have bought one of the covers suggested by Moulsey and Lornalou1.  It looks really large but haven't been across to the van to fit it yet....

Maybe it could double up as a towing cover?smile
