I had a letter from the surgery about diabetic clinic so I'll need to make an appointment to attend. We need to go to the house address anyway to check the Shogun and give it a run.

We'll probably do that tomorrow as we need to get to the bank, as well, to bank the drop money and tips from work, which is paid to me in cash at the end of each shift. I say we because my wife comes with me. Her help is needed because of parking difficulty. I can drop her off at the bank to pay the money in whilst I circle around using the Smart car.

Whilst there, I can pop into the surgery to book my diabetic clinic appointment. Last year I opted out of it as there was no time to attend due to the long hours of work for dinner2go. It's much easier now that I no longer have to work in the day.

Hope TG gets away OK and enjoys her trip, have to say I'm slightly envious.laughing

Yes, I think it may rain here too today, Oneputt and I feel tired after coming home late from last nights shift. So maybe we'll just stay at home in our caravan and keep warm with the Alde heating. So a day just to chill and recharge my batteries!

No sun here in Brighton, triky auto. Perhaps we should visit your area! I think others on here can't be convinced that there's such a thing as sun here in UK! They are like that song by Neil Diamond: 'LAs fine, the sun shines most of the time and the feeling is laid back, Palm trees grow, rents are low but I'm thinking of making my way back!'

To me sunshine and palm trees are all very well, I just don't like the heat that goes with it!  My paradise is right here in Blighty. Tropical paradises are not for me thank you! CMC sites here in UK, yes. Flights to warmer climes is definitely a no no for me!

We had a lady at work who had hypo's at regular intervals and because her colleagues were used to it happening it went into a set routine with someone trying to get her somewhere safe and and another rushing off for a can on Coke. We still see her when we out shopping and she has now had an insulin pump fitted.

Pleased to hear you got your pipes thawed the other day. By late evening we'd got our house up to 14C and this morning a whopping 18C! wink

Sun out now, quite a bit of snow around but the rain removed a lot last night. Hoping to get the cat back today from Mulchelney without the need for a rowing boat. smile

    Enjoy your day folks.

Could you send some of that sunshine to Brighton, Milothedog? I'd dearly like to have a bit of sunshine in my awning today, so that I can recover from work last night, by falling asleep in the relaxer!

Just as I typed that a heavy shower has started!

Maybe I'll have to settle for a movie on tv, if it's possible to hear it above the noise of the rain pattering on the caravan roof!

I cant say that +30C appeals to me either M. However, there are plenty of places you could go with mid 20's, which is an ideal temperature.

More snow overnight here, but now thawing, although only about 2C and damp plus misty. So not very appealing for a walk, glad we decided on one yesterday in the crisp snow, which is now turning to slush.☹️

I have the TV on Malc, but the rain falls silently on my tiled roof tongue-out

Nearly all traces of snow have gone, temperatures are up and just a dismal grey day. Never mind, Spring is on its way smile

But I am not talking about you Malcolm!

We too enjoy the space our T/A  (with onboard tank)  gives us, but not everyone wants such a big van.

They may not have the space to keep it or a heavy/powerful enough towcar, or want the extra expense of a T/A mover.

You cannot just "upgrade" to a van with an onboard tank, they are not widely available.

It seems to me that DSB is very happy with his van, and that an onboard tank is not on his priority list.

It would open up more opportunities for DSB to have such a caravan. There are colder countries further north than UK that could be worth visiting for him. The north of Norway, Finland and Lapland springs to mind. Also winter ski resorts in places like Austria and Switzerland. If you visit places that are consistently below freezing you would be really stuck without an onboard tank!

I think that may be a little beyond my budget, Oneputt! I've not been to China since arriving here in March 2015. That's 3 years of not flying abroad!

Sun came out and temperature plus 5 so we went for a stroll down to the Harbours mouth.  Plenty going on, a few wind-farm and offshore supply boats arriving and departing, very pleasant.  Bit misty so couldn't see as far as Scroby Sands and despite there being little wind the sea was in a confused state so guessing the tide was turning?

The sun is out and it’s a pleasant +10°. The snow has vanished and Spring seems to have returned  - very nice it is, too.  It’s a pity some of our daffs were flattened by the snow and wind.

Sad news indeed that Sir Roger Bannister has died. Where did we get these expressions of people having passed or passing come from? The term passed away has been used for years but passed and passing seem only recently to have entered the vernacular?

Miserable day here in North Wales with mist and mizzle and lots of slush.

Filled the pantry up from shopping. Think I'll do some more travelling around Germany this afternoon.

Think most of our trip to Germany 🇩🇪In May will be ad hoc.

Just trying to see if I can sort out a five day trip to Pembrokeshire to return to Skomer.  Should find out tomorrow.  I know some will think me crazy but considering taking the van😵👺🤡
