My daughter is going for the first time and has been told that her VW T40 will not fit under the car parks height restriction barriers. I would be grateful for any suggestions on parking a 2.04 metre high van.
I guess there must be motor homers who use the parking at the NEC.

Find out if you can WHICH carparks they are referring to BlueM. then you can google CRUFTS parking info to get the plan of the whole N.E.C. including car parks which you will have to pay to use sadly, unlike the Holiday/caravan shows.
I've been at the Caravan/Motorhome/holiday shows at the NEC and NEVER met a height barrier problem & my motors are often over 8'6" and there much much bigger ones than that !! And I've been on C/parks E & S regularly.

Thanks ABM seems to be some cross communication. Just looked at the NEC parking which states no height restrictions so the daughter is checking again.
We visit for the caravan show and see many high vehicles, just wondering if some barriers are remove especially for the caravan show.

Just stayed a couple of days at my sister in laws. They have 15 dogs! They have a dog agility team and participate at crufts every year, they are also club members. It was great walking out in the snowy fields with that pack, it's also good to see some well trained obedience dogs in action. I'm trying to organise an agility type of fun day this summer, they won't bring all 15 with them

Bluemalaga - we were at a Print Exhibition (IPEX) late last year at the NEC in our 3m high MH and I don't remember seeing any height barriers on any of the Car Parks - we parked up easily.
But they don't let you park for free - I think it was around £12 - same charge if you stay for an hour or all day.

Enjoyed watching the report about the wonderful bond between Assistance dogs and their owners last night . I also enjoyed seeing young people and their dogs competing in the junior Agility competition. Didn't see the whole programme but caught the interview with the owner of that gorgeous brown Newfoundland. What a great dog.

I enjoyed the programme last night, listening to the vet was interesting. I think the programme balance is just about right with some good information. I liked the Newfoundland too, I was watching a team do a water demo at the Bristol Harbour Festival last year.
Good luck to Settermum!

Saw a Newfoundland as part of the Swiss Carters at a rally a while ago. Young lad standing by it, crying his eyes out because the Newfie, trying to be friendly as they are, had stood on the lad's foot . 14 stone that didn't want to move away in case it missed out on a fussing !!

It was lovely to see how much dogs can help those with detectable illnesses and the vet explained how dog's can perform those tasks. Once again the wonderful work of the assistance dogs was demonstrated. ....The Flyball competition was really exciting, the dogs enthusiasm was very evident. How skillful and fast those dogs were.
