AD, I'm sure you were shocked at the time and rightly so!
The weather forecasters have been known to get it wrong on many an occasion and I'm hoping this is the case for next week. Besides, we caravaners/motorhomers are a hardy bunch. Either that or we're just plain daft! 😀

Those of us with proper caravans and 4wd tow vehicles have enough common sense to bring the aquaroll in at night,or have a smaller water container,AND,believe it or not,some of us have inboard tanks!

We have been on a couple of club sites and a couple of CL's in winter weather, both in the current van and in the previous caravan. No problem at all inside either. But on all those occasions the water taps on site were still frozen till late morning.
As I type this now, we should have been on the Camping Club site at Windermere, but I cancelled it having seen the heavy snow forecast to the east of the Pennines. I knew we would get there, but feared difficulty getting back for an appointment if the weather turns out as bad as they say.
I was a little surprised when the Camping Club said I would loose my £25 deposit, as their policy is that return of deposit due to harsh weather is only applicable on the journey TO the site or if the site is closing. They appeared oblivious to the Siberian forecast for the next 2 weeks. Hey ho.. Better to loose £25 than end up stuck on the way home or even worse, prang the van.

Good post sweetie.
Site the 'van onto a wet pitch with the mover, park the tow vehicle on good ground and everyone is happy ( including the site owner ).
Recently at Kingsbury and the Conkers site and the number of numpties that cannot drive correctly or carefully had to be seen, though the hard standing pitches are " rather small " there is no excuse for churning up the grass.
