When we were at Maragowan (Killin) folk next to us were launching a Kayak into the river Lochay that boarders the site. No idea if it is officially allowed, the site information leaflet says fishing OK but swimming / paddling not advised. No mention of boats. You could give the site a ring once it opens. The site is just over 70 miles from Edinburgh.

Keswick C&CC site is right next to the Lake and your are allowed to launch boats canoes etc direct from the site. Forfar C&MC site is next to a loch not sure if you can launch boats but might be worth phoning the site and asking. We use Lomond Woods site and that is next to loch lomond where boats can be launched and I think the C&CC site at Luss allows you to launch boats direct fr om the site.
Hope this helps

Strathclyde Park site is withing a few hundred yards of the Loch there if you can get through the bureaucracy.
C&CC site at Fortrose is on the shore, but that is a sea loch!

Braithwaite Fold at Bowness on Windermere is a short stroll from the lake where you can launch anything portable and non motorised free of charge.

Not sure of the distance, but you may consider Bunree near Fort William. The Guy in the next van to us last time went canoeing every morning. Not a slipway, but easy access.

Well over 100mls from Edinburgh, as is Keswick & Bowness on Windermere
