Hi Everybody

We are setting off for a few nights in Sussex tomorrow and we will be looking for a break in the journey (caffeine calling).

I was wondering if anyone could suggest  some caravan friendly services down the A14/M11.

Thinking about it, there could be scope for starting a list here!!

There are some "reasonable" services just north of Cambridge at the top end of the M11 - understandably they are called "Cambridge Services" - can't think why!!  Good choice of typical Motorway Service offers - must be at least half a dozen operators there.  Caravan Parking is very good with one section of the parking made over to Trailers and Caravans.  Hope this helps.  Happy Travels.

And at Cambridge Services those caravan bays are drive in/out and at an angle which helps....but they are short!

Is there anything similar in the Bishops Stortford/Stanstead area?

Maybe we should have a sticky thread advising us which services are good, bad or ugly. Maybe there already is and I'm just unaware of it.

Birchanger on the M11 (Ugly) has drive through bays in the truck area but merging traffic and traffic lights on the roundabout make getting out a nightmare.

Scotch Corner on the A1 (Bad) has drive through bays in the car park but they're poorly signposted, difficult to get into, too small and more difficult to get out of.

Before the forum was "improved" in Dec '16 there was indeed a thread whereby members could leave their comments on service stations.

I was looking for it the other day, see How to use Club Together - Search Engine"

You should be able to access previous posts through one of the links in a reply. It will make sense when you check it out. One of the Moderators might want to resurrect the thread and make it a Sticky again.
