Lymington ferry.
We are going to the Isle of Wight (with caravan) using the Lymington Ferry in June. We would like to spend the previous night to the crossing at a convenient site/CL. If anybody reading this has done similar, could you please offer your advice and any relevant information please?

Thanks JV. Ideally, we would only want a stop off for one night and If I am not wrong, CLs have a minimum booking of two days. If you know any better and can suggest a CL that allows payment for one night then it will be most appreciated.

That’s the first I’ve heard of CLs having a minimum of 2 nights booking. I’ve booked and used many for just one night.
We used the club's Centenary Site the night before catching the ferry from Lymington. It’s an easy enough journey and I think from memory took 20-30 mins. Expensive site though.

I would recommend Green Pastures as well.

Thanks for your helpful replies. I will look at them today. Not sure who told me about a minimum booking of two days but I bow down to your superior knowledge and experience.

Whoever told you that may have been going off personal experience of a small number of CLs. Each CL can choose their own terms for staying and you may find some CLs do indeed have a minimum number of night stays in peak season or at weekends or Bank Holidays. Most don't and those near ferry terminals will usually be used to one night requests.
