Sat Nav
My TomTom is now outdated and I am about to buy a new one, looking at TomTomVIA135 which also gives routes for campers/caravans. We own a caravan and are off to Spain in April so really need to invest in new sat nav. Has anyone used one of these models and if so did you find it useful? With our old TomTom we have ended up in difficult places to try and turn the car and caravan so any help and advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Alan

Currently I use a Blaupunkt Travel Pilot Camping which is German but operates in English and uses Tom Tom Maps. It has thousands of campsites on its database and whilst some of the road names may be missing - I use the Latitude and Longitude details and it works great! Never fails to get us to the front door of the campsite and also allows you to enter your dimensions of your outfit so you don't end up upsetting a farmer as you turn round in one of their fields!
Would I buy another when it dies? .... Not sure
It seems that the consensus of opinion from looking at the Web and also comments on this CMC discussion board that the best new sat nav is Co-Pilot Caravan, which you can download onto your phone or a tablet. The cost benefit ratio at a price of £50 is hard to beat providing your tablet/phone has the memory space. It is a hungry piece of kit.
If you do buy one, would be interested to know how you get on with it as I am sure would many others.

There has been a lot of discussion regarding SatNavs so it may help you to type that phrase into the search box at the top of the screen to see that first.

I have an older version Tom Tom that does what you want. It works to a point. I know it will route differently in caravan mode to car mode as I have tested it travelling to the same place solo in either mode. I have to say it's not perfect in avoiding difficult places but it is useful to a point. Going to some places just needs to be done the old fashioned way with a map.
