Batteries
We did our first Wild Camp in our Motorhome last weekend. We have Solar Panels and they are showing fully charged. We decided to put the TV on , we have an Inverter. The TV worked for ten minutes the Inverter made a high pitched sound the TV went off. When we got home we took the battery off and Charged it , When fully charged we just left it overnight in the Conservatory and the amp dropped . Do we need a new battery or is it something else . The Battery is 90 if we buy a new one we are going to get a 120 or higher This is the first time we have used the Inverter

When you say that the “amp” dropped overnight do you mean the battery voltage? Fully charged it should be around 12.7 volts (initially higher but dropping to that within a few hours after charging) and if not connected to anything should maintain that voltage for some weeks. If you have never used your Motorhome off grid then the battery can be in poor condition and you wouldn’t notice so the first time you actually need it then it could fail.
Batteries have variable lives but a new one should last 4 years upwards depending how it is treated.
Can’t comment on the inverter but if that is faulty as well it could damage the battery. I would expect it to simply trip out if the battery voltage was too low.
