Getting A Bit Fed Up Now
Has anyone else had a problem with their Stinger 310 alarm system? Having now had two replacement units because of false triggering, the problem has started again six months after the latest replacement unit being fitted.
There is no obvious reason for the trigger and the number of beeps vary when shutting the alarm off when it's sounding. Sometimes it is 2 (indicating the PIR was activated and sometimes 3 which indicates the tilt sensor). The caravan is perfectly static so there is no reason for the tilt to be the cause and there is nothing inside, not even a spider to activate the PIR. I've even made sure that the washroom door is closed so that there is no reflection from the mirror in there that could be the cause. The caravan battery is always in a good state of charge.
I'm getting a bit fed up now and, although Sargent have been very good with replacements why should I keep having the problem? Anyone got any thoughts please ?

As above I think I'd be inclined to disconnect it , you certainly don't want it going off while you're inside on site .👍
You can get stand alone pir alarms for sheds /garages for under a £10 now days if you're desperate to have something inside your caravan .

A stinger alarm was fitted in my caravan as standard from new. In the 8 years I've had it I've never had the problem you are experiencing. Hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction soon.
