Bailey front bumper panel
Does anyone know if it is possible to retro fit the 2017 single front lower bumper to a 2016 Bailey which has the 3 panel Lowe bumper design

. . . . or the type approval (as this must be about a motor caravan as I've never heard of a trailer caravan having a "bumper". They usually do rather badly at such activities.)

I think they mean the flexible plastic panel that goes right across the lower front section. Ours is a 2014 U2 design, but shows what I mean well enough.

When my U3 went in for a service I looked at the U4. The base caravan seems to be the same and I would be surprised if bailey in their wisdom had changed it.
I don’t think it would just be only the main bumper you would need to change. The small corner ones that connect to the side skirts are different and fit into it. There is also a raised moulding that sits above the main bumper on the edges by the awning rail, that sits proud and level with the windows and the new decor panels that are either side of the top of the main window.
On the rear it looks just like the bumper and again the corner ones again.
Must admit, I like the cleaner lines of the face and rear. Should be easier to keep clean than the original.

I agree, that panel would put me off! And still, don't bump it!

I'd like to 'update' the arguably ugly front bumper on the U2 series to provide a cleaner line. But just on observation note the grab handles are in a different place and the A frame cover is different. Plus the side/front endcaps would need replacing.
Guessing this would cost in the region of £800+ in parts, I'll live with the front for now.
I did update the front end with 2016 decals to remove those 'eyebrows' though. Bailey made so many errors with the order, I ended up with some to change the lower section ones at the same time.
For the eagle eyed - the offside upper is the same as the n/s, but its in the shade in the photo.
