So much of interest to catch up on amongst all the detritus now dominating this thread! frown

    So, here goes .....

Bakers, belated Happy Birthday to you - it's been really good to read the news of your trip to NZ - it's still on our agenda, though I think it will have to wait until Harry leaves us, hopefully not for a couple of years yet!

Goldie - have a great time with all your family - great to get together for a celebration like that. We'really still looking for a date for all of us to meet to celebrate me and SIL reaching a certain age.

Millie - I trust your grandson is fully recovered now, must have been the thought of a week off school for half-term bringing him down! wink

Cariadon &  oneputt - enjoyed seeing those photos. I would have "liked" them but I fear I'don't have gone back to the start of the thread and never been seen again!

Have I missed anything else important and interesting that folk have beenot up to today?

You don't necessarily have to replace it. Last year, when I attended the National, there were vintage caravans there from the 1930s and even older.  Such caravans are 80 to 90 years old but are still on the road and still habitable! Does it matter if it depreciates in value if it's going to last me for the rest of my life? After all, you can't take it with you when you go!

I used to start new threads in the old forum. However, with this new forum, I find it much harder to navigate so I stick with the familiar. Just one of my quirks, I suppose!

As the saying goes "turned out nice again"

Managed a couple of hours in the front garden today, OH washed my car and then came and helped me clear up all the mess I'd madelaughing 2 big bins now full of leaves weeds and clippings, does make me feel better if I can get out in the fresh air.

Sorry some of you having rain and cold, guess it will be our turn again soon.

Goldie, have a great time with the family this weekend.

Millie, have a great time with all your family, hope your grandson is feeling better today.

Our granddaughter arrived safely in Southampton on time and was collected by her mum and brother. Unfortunately her dad is on exercise in Southern Germany just now so he will miss her.

Strange isn't it how  MM seems to be very happy about being in so much debt, it would worry me silly.

Why do you need a tenancy agreement if your lifestyle is to live in a caravan, seems odd that you preach to us about living and owning a house yet you have a tenancy agreement on a house.

Just another example of a provocative post and utter rubbish. This forum is no more or less difficult in finding sections to post in than the last. I'm one of the least tech savvy people I know yet I can do it.

I trust you're referring to yourself, Taffy. It would be rather rude otherwise and not in the spirit of the guidelines.

Yep, I’m very familiar with it. I’ve known for years. Knowing and using the term are different issues.

Lovely to hear from you moulesy.  I enjoyed your photos of your wonderful holiday. Are you off to Cornwall soon?

Pleased to hear that your grand-daughter arrived home safely Tammygirl.  It is a pity that her father is away but the Easter holidays aren't that far away.

As expected our grandson is much better today.  The young bounce back so quickly - I wish we did!

Sunny here in the morning, but soon deteriorated into a very wet afternoon and evening.

DD was up at our nearby Asda and Waitrose, so came up to us for a couple of hours afterwards.

Her "bump" is getting really big now and the bump is very active, so she is a bit uncomfortable!   Less than 4 weeks to go now!

This coming week is her last week at work, I think she is looking forward to not having to go to work.

I cannot imagine not wanting to be involved with our grandchildren, they are not responsible for their parents' or grandparents' falling out.

A pretty miserable day here in East Lakeland, although we did manage a couple of hours or so walks from the van between showers. We were going to take the bus again through to Keswick but it looked very dark in that direction and thankfully decided not to bother as it poured down again. Hope for better weather tomorrow although the forecast is not good.

We had a good day today it has rained most of the day so we went to the market just outside Penrith we were a bit disappointed as it wasn't as big as it used to be.  After the market we went in to the town for a couple of hours and got some chips from a nice little chip shop which were great. Now back at the van listening to the rain battering off the roof  I'm having a beer abd SWMBO is watching the voice enjoying a wine or few lol. Hope everyone else is having a nice evening.

Glad that your grandson's much improved today, millie. These young ones are truly resilient.

Welcome home Moulesy we did enjoy your photo log from Costa Rica. Pity you didn't bring back with you the great weather you had over there.

MM you mentioned in an earlier post that you have to pay £551.29 in site fees for 29 days less than a month, I don't pay that amount a month for gas electricity etc, don't think I paid that when I had a mortgage. Strange world you live in.

If you rented property in this area, SELL, the rent alone would cost more than that, let alone the bills on top! To buy a house in this area, you would need well over half a million pounds! By buying a caravan I got a comfortably furnished home for £28,000.
